During his time at Able Cine as a solutions expert, Mitch became known as an excellent educator for his ability to make difficult concepts easy to understand. Mitch has now taken elements of those videos to produce a course for the online education portal Mzed called "The Secret of Optics".

So there was no NAB, but manufactures still released an amuse bouche of cameras, lenses and lighting. We couldn’t get hands on so this is just some initial thoughts on the some of the more interesting releases.

Geoff Boyle and his team from CML have recently conducted a series of test comparing thirteen different LED lights and seven different cameras. The results are not always what you would expect. You can look at the results for yourselves here over on the CML test page.
